Over the past several days, the subscription system and associated website functions have been subjected to persistent automated bot activity and attempted exploitation. In addition to generating unwanted subscription activity, these requests have contributed to periods of reduced website performance. To help protect the website, its content, and legitimate visitors, the Mailchimp subscription and registration functions have been removed. Four new spider species of the Pholcus phungiformes species group (Araneae, Pholcidae) from South Korea

Abstract

Four new spider species of the genus Pholcus Walckenaer, 1805, Pholcus baegamsan sp. nov., Pholcus hongcheon sp. nov., Pholcus namhae sp. nov., and Pholcus yeongcheon sp. nov. belonging to the P. phungiformes species group in the family Pholcidae C. L. Koch, 1850, are newly described from South Korea. The new species presented here were hand-collected from rocky areas, such as rock walls and beneath rocks, in mountainous mixed forests.
