Website Update: Email Subscriptions Discontinued

Website Update: Email Subscriptions Discontinued

I want to share an important update regarding email subscriptions and newsletters on Arácnido Taxonomy.

Effective immediately, I have discontinued using Mailchimp for email newsletter subscriptions. Over the past several days, the subscription system and associated website functions have been subjected to persistent automated bot activity and attempted exploitation. In addition to generating unwanted subscription activity, these requests have contributed to periods of reduced website performance.

To help protect the website, its content, and legitimate visitors, the Mailchimp subscription and registration functions have been removed.

Temporary Website Slowdowns

Additional website security measures have also been implemented in response to the recent activity. As a result, some visitors may occasionally encounter additional security checks or slightly slower page load times when accessing the site.

These measures are intentional and are currently necessary to reduce automated traffic and maintain reliable access to the website.

I apologize for any inconvenience caused by the removal of email subscriptions and appreciate your patience while these safeguards remain in place.

For now, please use RSS to follow Arácnido Taxonomy and receive future updates.

Thank you for continuing to read, follow, and support Arácnido Taxonomy.
