New contribution to the knowledge of Burmite chaerilids and description of a new species (Scorpiones: Chaerilidae)
Abstract
In this contribution one new species of the rare genus Electrochaerilus Santiago-Blay, Fet, Soleglad & Anderson, 2004 is described. The discovery of this new element of the family Chaerilidae Pocock, 1893 further confirms the validity of the genus Electrochaerilus which however, remains poorly speciose. The remarkable degree of diversity in the Burmese amber-producing forests is once again highlighted.
