  New data on the distribution of Aguapanela arvi Perafán, Cifuentes & Estrada, 2015 in Colombia through collections and citizen science, with notes on the natural history (Araneae: Theraphosidae) Abstract This paper expands the known distribution of Aguapanela arvi Perafán, Cifuentes & Estrada, 2015 in Colombia by reporting its presence for the first time in the departments of Caldas, Quindío, and Risaralda. Additionally, new aspects of its natural history are documented, including parasitic interactions involving a parasitoid wasp and an arthropod-pathogenic fungus. These findings are based on field observations, specimens deposited in biological collections, and citizen science records. A new species of Calommata (Araneae: Atypidae) from Guizhou Province, China

Abstract

A new species of the purse-web spider genus Calommata Lucas, 1837, Calommata chishui Wu & Xu, sp. nov. (♂♀), is described based on specimens collected from Chishui, Guizhou Province, China. The male of this new species possesses a distinctly white palpal patella, representing a unique autapomorphy that readily distinguishes the new species from all other known congeners. Detailed morphological descriptions, diagnostic photographs, and distributional data are provided. Furthermore, mitochondrial cytochrome c oxidase subunit I (COI) DNA barcodes are provided for both sexes to facilitate supplementary verification, accurate sex association, and future research.
