First record of the genera Homonotus Dahlbom, 1843 and Poecilagenia Haupt, 1927 (Hymenoptera: Pompilidae) from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, with the description of a new species Abstract The genera Homonotus Dahlbom, 1843 and Poecilgenia Haupt, 1927 are recorded for the first time from the fauna of Saudi Arabia. Two species of Homonotus are recognized, of which H. saudicus Malash & Gadallah, sp. nov. is described and illustrated. The new species exhibits Afrotropical affinities, having been collected in Jazan, southwestern Saudi Arabia. On the other hand, Homonotus maroccanus Schmid-Egger is recorded here for the first time from the Arabian Peninsula, specifically from Saudi Arabia. Poecilagenia , represented by a single species, P. cf. braunsi Arnold, 1934, also constitutes a new genus and species record for the entire Arabian Peninsula.
